Mom + Baby Classes

Mom + Baby yoga classes are currently not available at this time.

Dates + Time: TBA

Cost: $70 for 5 class series

Due to COVID-19 regulations, space will be limited. Please contact me if you’d like to be put on the contact list for when classes become available.

Before signing up for a class, please check out these frequently asked questions below!

Do I need my doctors approval in order to take these classes?

Yes! Although no note is needed, please ask your doctor for their approval. These classes are taken at your own risk and although are designed to be safe, your doctor knows your history and will be able to properly advise you.

How many weeks postpartum should I be before signing up?

You should be, at the very least, cleared by your doctor at your 6 week postpartum check-up. For c-section mothers, at least 2 months. However, I encourage moms to give it 3 months before signing up. You need time to rest and get into a schedule with your new baby; those first few months are exhausting!

Please listen to your body! You will intuitively know when you are ready to incorporate more movement into your schedule.

Is there an age limit for the baby on these classes?

Unfortunately due to Covid-19 safety measures, I ask that only moms with babies who are not yet crawling to sign up for classes. Babies don’t understand distancing regulations and might crawl to the next person over, breaking those boundaries. In the future I hope to include a much wider age range.

What do these classes consist of?

These classes are designed to incorporate both you and your baby in your yoga practice. You will be moving through a very gentle yoga practice to re-connect with your postpartum mind and body, learning baby massage techniques and learn how to incorporate your little one into a meditation practice.

I hope to cultivate a space where you can connect safely with your body and baby with other moms going through a similar journey.

Crying babies, hungry babies and napping babies all welcome. Breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and baby wearing are also welcomed. This is a completely judgment free zone!

Please note that these classes aren’t to exercise or “get back into shape.” These classes are focused on gentle movements and connecting with your body + baby.

What should I bring to class?

Your mat + anything you need for baby. A blanket for your baby to lie down on is also encouraged.

Can I take these classes even if I’ve never practiced yoga before?

Absolutely! Many women discover yoga after prompts from their doctor, midwife, physiotherapist or postpartum doula. I highly encourage those new to yoga to take this class. We will be starting from the basics and moving forward from there.

I can’t make it to every class. Can I just come to a few?

As previously mentioned, these classes are designed to build on each other and not for drop-in. If, however, there is space once registration for the five classes has closed, I can alert you and there will be a drop-in rate of $15 per class.

I missed a class. Can I get a refund?

Sorry, no refunds at this time.

What kind of certifications do you have? Are you qualified to teach postpartum yoga?

I am a certified 200 hour yoga teacher with additional certifications in a 25 hour restorative yoga teacher training and an 85 hour prenatal + postnatal yoga teacher certification. So yes! I am certified to safely teach postpartum mothers yoga.
