Orcs originally hail from a region known as the Scablands. A region more known to those from Mitra, it was once a vibrant continent now scarred and barren. None tread here except for the Orcish natives and those foolish enough to explore these lands.

Throughout history, Orcs that have left the Scablands eventually settled in other regions and grew Orcish societies elsewhere. Though, unfortunately, encountering some hostility with locals due to the preconception of Orcs across the world as raiders or marauders. This idea of Orcs as raiders might hold true for some as there are many that still hold to their old traditions. But the old Orcish God Gruumsh has been rejected by many as Orcs try to integrate with much of civilization, hoping for better futures for their people.

Orcs in Mitra

Orcs within Mitra and the Burning Empire have been part of this society for many generations, mainly within the Southern regions of the continent. Many have integrated with the locals, creating Orc and Half-Orc settlements with a shared Orcish/Empire culture. Many keep their original warring traditions and have refined it over generations to have their practices become an integral part of the Burning Empire and its own militaristic traditions.

Orcs in Dimitar and the Golden Sea

The main region where Orcs reside in the Golden Sea would be the Orcholds. Orcs within the Orcholds were originally migrants from further South, both from the Scablands and other regions of Mitra. Many might continue their raiding traditions as pirates in the Golden Sea while others might seek to assimilate into civilization. It is not too rare to see Orcs as part of the populace, whether as smiths, crafters, warriors, or governors, but the more successful ones are usually the Half-Orcs
