Dwarf

Dwarven nations and politics tend to be very isolationist. Within the mountains across the world exist thriving Dwarven communities independent of surface dwellers. But this hasn’t stopped them from settling and integrating within surface society over the course of generations. Though the choice of settling on the surface has led to two distinct Dwarven cultures developing; Hill Dwarf and Mountain Dwarf.

Hill Dwarf

The vast majority of Hill Dwarves are a regular part of the many societies spanning across the world. Many are integrated within many different levels of these societies, and it is not uncommon to find them within the ruling class from time to time. Many tend to preserve their traditions related to metals and minerals, trades such as smithing, mining, jewelcrafting, while others might pursue different careers.

Mountain Dwarf

The Mountain Dwarves tend to exist in very isolated societies, keeping their tradition of making their homes within mountains and even the Underdark. While there exist some independent Dwarven Kingdoms to the North within the Platinum Peaks as well as some of the Mountains within the Evergreen Valley, the Dwarven societies which exist within Mitran mountains all serve the Burning Empire.
