A deity is a divine being of great power. Deities are observable and have impact across the entire Material world, therefore all cultures will know of the same deities.
Different regions might be more devoted to a certain deity while tolerating or even outright prosecuting worship of other deities (mostly "evil" gods, sometimes even the more "good" ones too)
Mauser was making a weapon based off of the Sagittarius + Iron Company symbol. Maybe make Celestial pantheon based off the astrological signs? Or maybe these ppl where heroes in the Celestial Empire?
